**OVERKILL write the worlds 1st known Speed Metal/ Thrash Metal song: "UNLEASH THE BEAST WITHIN". OVERKILL ofcourse named themselves after a MOTORHEAD song, and are still putting out the best Speed Metal & Thrash albums in the world!**
BITCH(USA) forms, a few years later SLAYER got signed to BITCH's record label (a small upstart called METAL BLADE) based on their live performance opening for BITCH! The sound on BITCH's "BE MY SLAVE" & SLAYER's "SHOW NO MERCY" are similar in many ways besides the Brian Slagel production. I personally think BITCH was a big influence on early SLAYER & the entire L.A. underground Metal scene at the time!
